BNP Paribas is a French bank and one of the 10 largest banks in the world. SecureTab was very happy to have had the opportunity to work with a client of this nature, and we were tasked with revising their existing data loss prevention program as well as onboard an ITM (internal threat management) program for the company to eliminate any possibility of sensitive data being exfiltrated from the company.

SecureTab’s lead worked directly within the company during this project under the title of the vice-president of IT security and managing the DLP team. After a detailed analysis of areas where improvements could be made we expanded and enhanced the program by identifying and then filling in gaps in the system.

The result was a more solid and impenetrable data loss prevention program where the risk of cyber security incidents was greatly reduced. However, the primary objective tasked to us here was to onboard the ITMP program to diminish the chances of data being removed from the company without authorized access.

A large part of what allowed us to meet that objective and successfully put the program in place was finding the right use cases that fit the company’s requirements, along with being very thorough and strategic with the way we onboarded the operations team.
